Human collagen is made up of 18 amino acids in a specific distribution. Amino acids can be precisely reproduced using fermentation processes, so it is possible to dispense with the use of animal tissue such as bone and cartilage. The biomimetic collagen we offer®, which is contained in "Collagen Plus", was produced using such a patented fermentation process. It has been formulated to reflect all 18 amino acids of human collagen in exact doses, making it 5 times more efficient for the body to absorb than animal or marine collagen. This means that 1g of our vegan collagen is equivalent to the effect of 5g of conventional collagen.
It is important to note that animal or marine collagen cannot be absorbed by the body in its natural form. For this reason, hydrolyzed (broken down) collagen is popular.
